  • Why I'm Running

As the Chair of the Multnomah Neighborhood Association, I have been given a boots-on-the-ground view of the impact of homelessness and the addiction crisis happening within our city. The quality of life in every neighborhood in the city has been affected in some way. Folks are frustrated with the current leadership in Portland and they feel unheard and disrespected.

I am running for office to ensure that every neighborhood in Portland's District 4 has a representative who truly listens to and respects its residents. My goal is to ensure that your voices are heard and that you are treated as important partners in all decisions made by the new Portland City Council.

    Strong and Responsive Constituent Service

Our government should play a role in creating the best public infrastructure possible for our community via accessible public transportation and improved neighborhood bike and pedestrian ability

I want to make sure that the residents in Portland's neighborhoods, where the heart and soul of Portland is alive and well, are fully respected, heard, and represented on the new Portland City Council. My office will be a conduit, the liaison between the folks in the neighborhoods and the city. I will promote our successes and challenge us to meet the moment when we could be doing better.

The City is responsible for Infrastructure and public safety. The county and Metro have the funding and the resources that can affect our public safety and we must communicate and collaborate with them to focus on programs and resources related to substance use, mental health, and homelessness. We must treat people on the street as a medical and public safety issue instead of a criminal one. I will fully fund programs like Portland Street Response.
